Disappointing free spins

So, really, you are not accumulating anything, the game is deciding for you. You start with 10 and have to hit 25 free spins before the system gives you any kind of multiplier. Take a guess how often that happened?
We know it’s possible, but 90% of the time you’ll hate when the three scatters show up. There isn’t usually enough time to get enough multipliers to get past the 25 free spin mark and make a difference to your budget.
You have to keep playing to win big
However, the more times you enter the free spins, the more chances you have of getting those big wild features within the free spin games. Wilds & Expanded Wilds: Your plain old Batman logo symbol is the wild symbol. It doesn't come with a multiplier, but it appears on reel 3, it expands to cover the whole reel and has, in the past, afforded some decent wins.
Symbol Scramble: On any spin you haven't won, you can randomly trigger this bonus feature. It scrambles all the symbols on the reels, creating a win. We found this feature to be mostly for show, bringing little wins, but nothing more.
Fight Mode Accumulator: Just because it wouldn't be a good Batman slot without a decent fight scene, Bane and The Dark Knight randomly show up on your screen and start brawling.
With each hit the free spin accumulator on the top of the screen build up with extra free spins. You won't get any more decent multipliers until you get past the 25 free spins mark - which is not difficult to get. However, more often than not, you'll hit anything between 20-25 free spins and then you'll get three bomb scatters and... Damn it! We wanted multipliers! No!!
Scatters & Free Spins: Once you get those three bomb scatters across your screen, whatever you've accumulated is what you are going to get in the free spin round.
You'll pick between Bane & Batman. Generally, both are quite similar in what will be paid out in the end, and we have many a time only won 10x to sometimes a more generous 40x our bet. The more you play though, the bigger and better wilds you'll get.
Bane:what Microgaming calls 'rolling reels' we call 'tumbling reels': ie. what you'll find in Gonzo's Quest or Pixies of the Forest. So whenever you win, the winning symbols will be shot down, with more symbols appearing from above and potentially giving you more wins.
Once you've entered this free spin round a few times you'll also get stacked wilds appearing on reels 2 and 4. Very nice indeed, especially if you can get a multiplier.
Batman:Here you'll get to pick an extra high symbol (so Cat Woman, Batman, Bane, Miranda, Gordon or Blake) to be an extra wild during the round.
Effective, but it's not until you unlock the heat seeking wild where extra wilds can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, which is where things start to get really interesting. You can also get split wilds, which count for two symbols, and can lead to 6 symbol wins. This pays out twice what a 5 symbol win would usually.
Closing thoughts
